I've lived in Asia for almost 7 years and never recorded anything that has happened to me or taken any photographs. It is like I have never existed. this blog aims to remedy that. I may even buy a camera!

The festive season is here and a Merry Christmas to you all. At my desk in HK counting down till the Winter break. Just back from the Philippines after a disasterous weekend...We all thought the Omni party was on Saturday...
Gracie is down in her province with the family...Matis is in philippines also...so Fog and I are living the bachelor life.

If I have to eat one more Pot Noodle!

So its off to the Philippines again on Saturday for a couple of weeks. Gracie gets to Angeles on Christmas day which is good. She gets no signal in her province so the poor thing has to climb a mountain every time she calls me. Im flying down this weekend with Tiger Airways out of Macau which will be different. I refuse to pay Cathay Pacific 350 quid for a 711 mile flight...madness. My association with that airline will be coming to an end if the Tiger flight works out ok. I'll be taking the jetfoil to Macau first if I can wake up on time....

Were staying at the Oasis again...it really is like coming home when we stay there.http://www.oasishotel.com.ph/index.htm

Anyone needing to contact us can on my new Philippine number (please ignore all previous numbers) on +63 (0)9163068764
http://omniaviationcorp.com/index.php You may even find a few photos of the lads on the Omni site...hehe

Our new company: Gecky Systems Ltd. is now registered in HK. Don't bother checking out the website just yet as we've done bugger all to it.http://www.geargecko.com/

Maybe we can do something about that next week....

Looking forward to being released for solo cross country flying next week. when Stef gets down for New Year and is checked out, the pair of us can take a couple of Cessnas away overnight to San Fernando (La Union) fo rour first long trip solo. Fun. I've borrowed Moray's GPS just in case my navigation skills fail me...

I've been through my presents already and it looks / feels like I'll be celebrating Christmas with new socks and pants again...sigh. Gracia is on a limited gift ration as well as shes flown more airmiles than most pilots this month...though I did pick her up the new Ipod Shuffle which is pretty damm cool.

Fog has bought a new "Flinch" ball which is good news. Flinch involves bobbing in the pool and throwing a ball as hard as possible at you opponents head....If they flinch they loose. The ball has to be weighty enough to smart when it hits you but not too weighty...

The locals take a keen interest in our flinch games and we may see it emerging as a new sport in the Philippines.

Anyway, thats about it.

Have a great holiday everyone. Hope to see you all in the coming year.

Best,

Mark and Grace
